Time to Symptoms
The active ingredient in this product works rapidly, and rain falling shortly after application normally will not reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. Thoroughly wet all foliage. For dense weed growth, use the higher rate and the higher volume of water.

Annual weeds are easiest to control when they are small.Paraquat is used in nearly 90 countries either to prepare the land for planting or for controlling weeds in more than 100 crops, including major food crops: corn, rice, soya, wheat, potatoes; major fruits: apples, oranges, bananas; beverages: coffee, tea, cocoa; and processed crops: cotton, oil palm, sugarcane, and rubber.

Paraquat is a broad spectrum non-selective herbicide. It belongs to the Bipyridylium family of herbicides. Pure paraquat salts are white and the technical products, yellow. They are crystalline, odorless, hygroscopic powders. Paraquat is slightly soluble in alcohol and practically insoluble in organic solvents. Paraquat is non-explosive and non-flammable in aqueous formulations. It is corrosive to metals and incompatible with alkylarylsulfonate wetting agents. It is stable in acid or neutral solutions, but is readily hydrolysed by alkali.
