As result of joint development with Dr. Kim, In-O, a former senior researcher in application science research department of KIST, VIRUSZERO developed long term storage technology of ClO2 to overcome traditional limitations and allow storage in and transport to necessary places, so as to develop and product various commercial products.(6000PPM)

ABOUT VIRUS ZERO

A gas with radical form volatile at room temperature, which can not be stored/transported, but is used immediately from production. Its strong oxidative power produces its disinfection function. Classified as oxygen derived disinfectant as like ozone, not chlorine derived disinfectant Due to development of this technology, long term storage/transport is enabled (cf, Nitroglycerine → dynamite)

While chlorine dioxide (CℓO2 ) has chlorine in its name, chlorine dioxide’s chemistry is radically different than elemental chlorine. One atom makes all the difference.

ClO2 is the safest and the most eco-friendly disinfectant classified as A-1 grade, the most safest grade, by WHO. But it exists as a gas with volatile radical form, so has a limitation that it should be used immediately after production at the site

Sterilization Mechanism

Makes bacteria and viruses reach to death by oxidizing serine, tyrosine, systeine, and methionine, materials for protein (cell membrane, etc) with –OH, -SH residue and producing their oxides Makes viruses lose their genetic replication and propagation by reacting wit their RNA

- Oxidizes and decomposes bad smell causing materials by oxidizing them with strong oxidization power of VIRUS ZERO ClO2

- ClO2, an eco-friendly product with sterilizing and disinfecting efficacy, had superior features compared to other disinfectants (alcohol, clorox, and chlorine), but could not be applied to daily life because of their existence in gas phase at RT.

- Due to rectent technology development, it is applied restrictively to large capacity treatment facilities such as tap water and waste water treatment facility

- Although ClO2 aqueous solution products were launched, they have no commerciality due to evaporation only 1 month after production.

- VIRUS ZERO products of KFC maintains the concentration and its own efficacy for over 18Months

KFC-ClO2, an oxidant and a sterilizing agent, expands its application areas to medicine, veterinary medicine, daily goods, water treatment, environmental agrichemical substitutes, food science, and fishery due to its strong sterilization power to remove various viruses and protozoa completely and eco-friendliness to generate no harmful DBPs including carcinogenetic materials compared to traditional oxidizing and disinfecting agents such as chlorine, ozone, brome chloride, chloramine, and permanganate

As results of test for foot and mouth disease leachate using ClO2, it was identified that 100% of bacteria sterilized after 2 hr and all bad smell was removed completely.

As results of deodorization test in pigsty located in Anseong, excellent efficacy to remove ammonia, the origin of pigsty bad smell was proven.

· Although most golf clubs have used sterilizer (agrichemicals) to prevent grass pest, it resulted environmental pollution including development of pathogen resistance and destruction of soil bacteria ecosystem

Different from neutralizer and fragrances, ClO2 removes bad smells by oxidizing or destroying structurally smell causing materials such as hydrogen sulfides, mercaptans, and phenols, so that has both deodorization and sterilization effect at low concentration when applying it hospital waste and bad smell places (Seongnam City Hall is using it for removing bad smells and bacteria)
